Responsibilities
- Live Production:
Selecting and transitioning between various live video sources, such as cameras, graphics, and video clips. - Technical Operation:
Operating a vision mixer or video switching software to control the flow of video signals. - Real-time Editing:
Applying digital effects, wipes, dissolves, and other creative transitions to blend different sources smoothly. - Pre-recorded Material:
Inserting pre-recorded video, such as commercials or graphics, into the live broadcast as directed by the director. - Audio Management:
Managing audio signals to ensure they align with the corresponding video feeds. - Collaboration:
Working closely with the director and other production staff to fulfill the creative vision. - Technical Support:
Connecting and configuring cameras, microphones, and other video sources to the switcher.
Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in operating various video switching equipment and software.
- Video Engineering Knowledge: Advanced understanding of video signal distribution and systems design.
