Description

Responsibilities
  • Content Development:
    Generate creative story ideas, write scripts, and plan the show's structure and segments.
  • Guest Management:
    Identify, book, and brief guests for interviews and discussions.
  • Technical Oversight:
    Coordinate and monitor technical elements such as sound effects, music, and commercials, ensuring smooth delivery during live or pre-recorded broadcasts.
  • Team Collaboration:
    Work closely with on-air talent, technical staff, sales, and marketing teams to ensure program quality and successful campaigns.
  • Broadcast Management:
    Manage show timing, back-timing, and ensure all components are in place, including ads and news segments.
  • Compliance:
    Ensure all content and broadcasts comply with FCC regulations, industry standards, and station policies.
  • Quality Control:
    Monitor audio levels and other technical aspects, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high-quality standards for the show's output.
  • Audience Engagement:
    Analyze audience feedback and ratings to improve content and appeal to listeners.
Qualifications
  • Education & Experience: A certificate/diploma or a bachelor's degree in communication or broadcasting, and prior experience in media production or on-air roles are beneficial.
  • Creativity: Ability to generate innovative and engaging content ideas.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with hosts, guests, and staff.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in audio editing software and broadcasting equipment to ensure high-quality sound.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to create a positive studio atmosphere and motivate team members.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and planning skills to coordinate multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and solve problems quickly, especially during live broadcasts.
  • Industry Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of the radio industry, current trends, news, and audience preferences.
